What's New with ILL?
Document Delivery Pilot of UA Owned Materials
Document Delivery is only available to current UA faculty and graduate students.
How does Document Delivery work?
Document Delivery offers Book Express and Article Express for UA faculty and graduate students for items held by UA Libraries. Request materials from Gorgas Library, Bruno Business Library, the McLure Education Library and Rodgers Library for Science & Engineering. This excludes the Health Sciences Library and the Bounds Law Library. If we have what you need in our libraries, we'll find it and hold it for you at the owning library or scan and deliver to you electronically. If we don't have it, we'll ask for it from another library. When your item is ready, you will receive an email. Physical items can be picked up at the circulation desk of the owing library. Electronic items will be delivered to your ILLiad account under "Received Copies" located in the menu on the left side of the screen.
How do I place a Document Delivery request?
To place a request within ILLiad, log into your ILLiad account and choose one of the Document Delivery forms listed in the menu on the left side of the screen.
For a copy (article or book chapter), choose this form: Doc Delivery - Copy (UA Libraries Collection)
For a loan (physical item), choose this form: Doc Delivery - Loan (UA Libraries Collection)
Requests may also be initiated from a search within SCOUT (catalog) by clicking the "Request this" button on the item record.
What if I still have questions?
Beginning in the Spring Semester, Document Delivery will expand its services to include pickup of materials at any of our libraries and intra-campus delivery of materials for faculty to departmental offices.
